Prog 2: Judge Dredd

More 2000ad acquisitions! Whilst I'd managed to collect a few rarities at the end of last year that I'm yet to catalogue in the black museum, these arrived only this morning and seemed fitting for my own 'Prog 2'. The lawman himself, Judge Dredd! 

Whilst I have the warlord game versions, there was something very satisfying about getting this very stoic Mongoose version. I hadn't set out to collect him, it was the other sculpts I'd aimed to get but as he was bundled in with them I was very pleased he was included. 

The main reason for the purchase was for two other models in this bundle, the Perp on holding post and the mutant with long arms. The perp on holding post is just a great mini, and the sort of thing that was missing from the warlord game offerings. The mutant is one I'm missing, I picked up the mutant warband box last year but that doesn't include him or the leader model. I previously missing out on getting the 3-in-1 blister which included the long arm mutant, ape and street gang member from ebay, so getting to cross the mutant off now was a joy!  

The Tek judge was just a bonus, another sculpt I was missing from the specialist Judge collection. As was the random street gang member. 

I'm also missing the Angel Gang. Warlord only released Mean Machine (and to be honest, whilst its ok its probably not the best version Mean that's been made over the years). I'm waiting to try and snag the Mongoose set, I have decided that a few citadel miniatures wouldn't hurt the collection. Whilst they are massively out of scale in comparison to warlord/Mongoose, some of them can fit in just fine (Mutants, robots etc). If collecting them slowly over a number of years and whenever good bulk deals pop up, I assume that one day I'll also have enough that I'll also be able to run pure citadel miniature games as well. I'm in no rush. One of my favourite characters is Fink, and whilst I don't have the Mongoose (or ever seen a Foundry one for sale) miniature, I was able to snag a citadel version for pretty cheap within a bundle. He needed a little bit of TLC but after a good scrub, the horrors of the Cursed Earth have been washed away. He might be a little bit short to be a stormtrooper, but he will work until I can snag a set of the full gang. He's cleaned up and on the work bench right now.
